1. Variable Geometry Switch
Flipping the variable geometry switch between 46mm and 51mm allows a rider to maintain the trail characteristics of the Roots when switching between 650b or 700c wheel sizes.
2. Variable Tire Configurations
700c/650b compatible geometry means that whether you’re a roadie looking to bring that speed to gravel racing, or a mountain biker looking to devour mile after mile of dirt, the Roots performance gravel will get you there fast and look great while doing it. Roots can fit up to 700c x 40mm or 650b x 49mm.
3. Luggage Space
Roots has multiple mounting points which allows you to pack as heavy or light as your gravel adventure requires. From nutrition to spare parts and even tools, you can mount it all.
Two-Position Adjustment
The response of the front wheel to a rider’s input is a critical factor in how the bike handles at speed. A twitchy bike will make a rider nervous or uneasy with the handling of the bike and therefore reduce their confidence and slow them down.
Flipping the variable geometry switch allows a rider to compensate between the difference in wheel circumference of a 650b or 700c tire without effecting the geometry or handling of the bike. This maintains the ride, feel and handling the bike and gives riders confidence.
